Little League International
Williamsport, Pennsylvania
Hummer Turfgrass Systems, Inc. is proud to work closely with Little League International and the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Hummer completed the renovation of Volunteer Stadium in August 2008 which included the addition of our Sand Grid Drainage System. In the Spring of 2009 Hummer performed repairs to Lamade Field after renovations to the grandstands. The Little League World Series is compromised of 16 international baseball teams with players being of the ages of 11 and 12 years old. The games are televised worldwide at

Penn State University

The Penn State University Nittany Lions boasts over 800 Division I student-athletes, over 15 world-class athletic facilities, numerous Big Ten Champions, and a nationally renowned athletics program. Hummer has been working with Penn State Athletics since 1978. Hummer Turfgrass Systems, Inc. has recently completed a total field renovation for Penn State Abington. The baseball field at Alverthorpe Park has been transformed from a recreation level field into an elite NCAA caliber surface.

Penn State University’s Harrisburg campus contracted Hummer Turfgrass Systems to renovate their intramural athletic field in the summer of 2010 and to edge and laser grade the skinned areas of their baseball infield.

Lehigh University
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Lehigh University is part of the Patriot League and boasts 20 sports for women and men that attend this Division I university. One of the greatest rivalries in the conference is Lehigh University football versus Lafayette University football. Alvernia University is a Division III accredited institution which competes within the MAC Freedom Conference. Hummer has previously renovated the Crusader’s Sovereign Bank Sports Park for their Men’s and Women’s soccer teams. Villanova University hosts one of the finest academic and athletic institutions in the nation. Fondly referred to as ‘Nova Nation’; Hummer Turfgrass Systems has performed renovations and new construction for the baseball, softball, and soccer teams at Villanova. The Villanova Wildcats are a Division I university and members of the Big East Conference.

Solanco High School is part of the Solanco School District which competes in District 3 Class AAA action. The Southern End community takes great pride in the school district and the high school facility boasts one of the finest athletic complexes in the Lancaster-Lebanon League. Solanco’s newly renovated football stadium includes Hummer’s Sand Grid Drainage System.

Solanco Little League located in Quarryville, Pennsylvania has one of the finest complexes in the area. We work closely with many local Little League organizations in the area and Hummer is proud to have been able to reconstruct many of the infields in this baseball/softball complex.

North Schuylkill School District
Ashland, Pennsylvania
Home of the Spartans, the North Schuylkill School District is located in the anthracite coal fields of Pennsylvania. The school district, located in Schuylkill and Columbia counties, encompasses 72.2 square miles of rolling hills and valleys. Hummer Turfgrass Systems recently completed multiple field renovations at North Schuylkill High School.

Royersford, Pennsylvania
Ram Stadium at Spring Ford High School and the home of the Spring City Red Sox was in need of a makeover. Hummer Turfgrass was contracted to remove the existing grass on the infield and apron areas as well as convert the baselines from infield material to natural grass.

The Hill School
Pottstown, Pennsylvania
Hummer Turfgrass Systems, Inc. completed a total field renovation for The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. This was an exciting project that provided a first class playing surface to a school steeped in baseball excellence. The renovation was based around the schools need to have a regulation sized outfield.

Mifflinburg High School
Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania
Hummer Turfgrass Systems recently completed the stadium football field at Mifflinburg High School in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania. Hummer provided grading and coordinated the site prep for the field. Nutrient applications were completed per soil testing results and Kentucky bluegrass Big Roll sod was installed over one and a half days.

Hanover School District
Hanover, Pennsylvania
Hanover School District needed a first class surface as part of their stadium renovation project. Hummer Turfgrass installed our irrigation, Sand Grid Drainage, and sand based sod systems. The fifty year old field was shaped and a new track installed. New stands and facilities were also included in the renovation. Hummer worked hand-in-hand with the general contractor, architect and project staff to achieve a final product that is second to none!

Ephrata War Memorial
Ephrata, Pennsylvania
Hummer Turfgrass Systems worked hand-in-hand with this local association to renovate the right field of the War Memorial Complex. An uneven playing surface and a steep slope plagued the long time home of Ephrata High School and Ephrata Legion baseball who are dominate in the Lancaster-Lebanon league.

PA Classics Soccer Complex
Manheim, Pennsylvania
Since being involved in the design and construction of the complex in 2006 & 2007 Hummer has provided turnkey maintenance services for the 32 acre Manheim complex. Hummer provides soil testing, fertilizer applications, IPM services, licensed spraying and natural fertilizers.

Franklin & Marshall College
Lancaster, Pennsylvania
The five acre soccer complex is the former home of a factory. Both fields were graded and seeded by another contractor and after 18 months the fields were still unplayable.
