Dating back over three decades, Hummer Turf has a long and distinguished association with Penn State University in the design and construction of high use natural grass athletic fields. From as far back as the 1970’s, Hummer Turf has been instrumental in upgrading everything from Beaver Stadium to the award winning Jeffrey Soccer Field.Jeffrey Soccer Stadium (Men’s & Women’s game field) features the Hummer Sand Grid Drainage system on a heavily used, high profile, and nearly flat game field. This field has won numerous awards from the best NCAA game field to the prestigious National Sports Turf Managers Award for field of the year.
