Binns Park : Downtown Lancaster, PA
We worked with the City of Lancaster on refurbishing an industrial area into a downtown park that includes a band stand for performing artists.

This project features a modified sand based rootzone enhanced with shredded carpet fibers. The rootzone material was blended off site, hauled in, and precision graded. The modified sand based soil helps to resist compaction from the constant foot traffic during events, walks in the park, and lunch breaks. This park receives more foot traffic and use then any other park in Lancaster County, and the grass areas are thriving due to the unique rootzone mix and subsurface drainage. The lawn areas were seeded with 100% Kentucky Bluegrass and features in ground irrigation.
