Murray H Goodman Stadium : Lehigh University
This project was the first time that the playing surface at Goodman Stadium had been renovated since it was built in the 1960’s. The current stadium was built around the playing surface in 1989 leaving it untouched until the summer of 2008. The topsoil was stripped from the entire field and over 1500 cubic yards of soil was imported to level the playing surface. The field was laser graded and an automatic irrigation system was installed. A closely spaced Hummer Sand Grid Drainage System was then installed, the second such installation on the Lehigh campus. Big roll Kentucky Bluegrass sod was installed to finish the project. The home of the Mountain Hawks continues on as the only natural grass surface in their conference.
