Volunteer Stadium : Williamsport, PA Little League World Series

The home of the Little League World Series was renovated by the Hummer crews within a tight time schedule during the summer of 2008. The heavy soils that were used as a rootzone material during the original construction would not drain. In order to ensure that no games were lost during the World Series the Hummer Sand Grid Drainage System was installed. Big roll Kentucky Bluegrass sod was installed to complete the renovation. The Sand Grid Drainage System was put to the test during its first World Series when a rain storm broke loose during a game. Once the heavy rain subsided play resumed at Volunteer Stadium while all other games were cancelled.

Every wonder what it takes to patch a world class field?
