Update for Alvernia University baseball (Fall 2011)
Since the field’s installation in 2009 Hummer has kept in close contact with the Angelica Field complex. Coach Yogi Lutz takes great pride in his field, the home of Crusaders. Hummer was contracted to remediate a sinkhole caused by the record rainfall of Fall 2011. The sinkhole was filled, compacted, and re-graded to accept new sod. Hummer also provides irrigation maintenance, start-up and winterization services at Alvernia University for their fully automated irrigation system that was installed with their new field.

Hummer Turfgrass completed a new baseball and softball complex that will serve as the home of the Crusaders. Completed in a short time frame to be ready for the 2009 season the new fields were built with in-ground irrigation, under-drainage and Sporting Valley Turf Farms big roll Kentucky Bluegrass sod.
