Sod Donation to the Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery AssociationSporting Valley Turf Farms donated sod to Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association’s (PLNA) 9th summer exam for the Landscape Industry Certified Technician (aka CLT) designation. The test was administered at the Penn State Berks Campus on August 19th and 20th.

Hagerstown Municipality Field Emergency RepairSporting Valley Sod was contacted early Saturday morning by the Hagerstown Municipality to help them in crunch time. A light pole had fallen on the field during Friday night’s storm and damaged the turf. Sporting Valley brought in thick cut Kentucky Bluegrass sod to repair damaged field area in preparation for a 3:05pm Saturday game. It was a quick and easy fix for the experienced crew.

Landisville ClockSporting Valley Turf Farms donated 15,000 square feet of Kentucky bluegrass sod to the Landisville Clock Project. The renovation of the clocks and memorial park improvements were unveiled on Veterans Day, November 11, 2007. Hummer Turfgrass Systems donated equipment and labor to precision grade the site and install the sod.
